The Committee and Delta have reached an agreement on the method of calculation of claims and allowance of unsecured non-priority claims of Retired Pilots resulting from modifications to retiree benefits in these bankruptcy proceedings. The Supplemental Term Sheet setting out the new agreement, and Delta's motion to approve it, can be accessed by clicking HERE. A hearing has been set for February 22, 2007, and an objection deadline is set for February 9, 2007. Please see the motion for further information. Please note that, once approved, this method of calculation will be used to determine all such claims.

Delta has calculated Retired Pilots' retiree benefit claims based on the agreed upon methodology in the Supplemental Term Sheet. Delta has sent to each Pilot Retiree notice of the claim amount and a summary calculation. Delta is also amending its schedules to list each Pilot Retiree's claim at the calculated amount, and is sending each Pilot Retiree a Notice of Amendment to Schedules of Assets and Liabilities in connection with that amendment. The personal information that Delta used to calculate each Retired Pilot's claim was not supplied to the Committee, and has not been audited by the Committee's professionals. If you agree with the amount of the claim Delta has calculated for you, you need do nothing and your claim will be allowed in that amount. If you wish to file a proof of claim you should follow the instructions regarding filing a proof of claim, which is due no later than March 12, 2007.

If you have previously filed a proof of claim for these benefits, Delta has objected to that claim, and you will receive a copy of Delta's objection. If you take no action, the proof of claim that you previously filed will be disallowed. However, the claim which Delta has just scheduled for you will still be allowed, and you still have the opportunity to file a new proof of claim by March 12, 2007, if you so choose.

Delta has mailed the motion, notice of amendment of its schedules, and other information specific to each Retired Pilot directly to each Retired Pilot. Please look for it in the next few days.
