Notice Concerning Alternative Coverage for Retired Pilots Ages 65 and Over

The non-pilot 1114 committee has negotiated an alternative coverage plan for retirees ages 65 and over through Hartford Life & Accident Insurance Company. The plan, which is independent of Delta, is also being made available to pilot retirees, spouses and survivors ages 65 and over. Retired pilots ages 65+ will continue to have access to the DPMP plan, but the Committee recommends that you carefully consider whether to elect the Hartford plan instead. Whichever plan you elect, you will be entitled to the applicable subsidy from Delta under the retired pilots' agreement with Delta. Detailed information on the Hartford plan coverage for medical and prescription drugs can be accessed at this website:

Again, to avoid confusion, please keep in mind that the subsidies applicable to Delta retired pilots are the subsidies described in the Committee's letter of October 6, 2006 Committee Letter re Delta Settlement, and these subsidies are different from the subsidies applicable to non-pilot retirees
